An Elementary School Superintendent has recommended that a district school principal, who wrote a sarcastic letter about students that was mistakenly sent home to parents, be reassigned to a district office position.

The letter sent home with second graders attending Litchfield Elementary School included disparaging remarks about students who could not complete their "easy" math assignments.

Some parents who have read the letter say it's funny.

Woman Keeps Pet Snowball For 33 Years

Prena Thomas has the usual things in the freezer of her home in Lakeland, Fla. Vegetables, pancakes and fish, she told a Tampa television station.

But she also has a snowball that she made in 1977.

Barred from using lead in children’s jewelry because of its toxicity, some Chinese manufacturers have substituted the more dangerous heavy metal cadmium in charm bracelets and pendants sold throughout the U.S., an investigation shows.

The most contaminated piece analyzed in lab testing contained a startling 91 percent cadmium by weight. The cadmium content of other contaminated trinkets tested at 89 percent, 86 percent and 84 percent by weight. The testing also showed that some items easily shed the heavy metal.

Some of the most troubling test results were for bracelet charms sold at Walmart, at the jewelry chain Claire’s and at a dollar store. High amounts of cadmium also were detected in “The Princess and The Frog” movie-themed pendants.

A team of microbiologists from Hollins University found that 48% of the sodas they tested from fast food soda fountains had coliform bacteria, according to Tom Laskawy, a media and technology professional and blogger for grist.org. A night of fun and mystery ended in tragedy Monday night when a man was run over by the Murder Mystery Dinner Train in Fort Myers. According to Lee County sheriff’s spokeswoman, the 911 call came in around 9:10 p.m.
